Water physics

Im happy to announce, today this update brings water physics.

This new water better than the old ones. The old waters are was assets, but this water is completely written by the developer, me.

What the new water physics brings:

 -This water is completely newly written – so not a downloaded asset

 - The water now affects items: if you drop items into the new water, the items will billow on water (buoyancy physics)

-This system is relatively complicated: the water is doing maths in background (realtime)

 

This update took time, because this new water is need CPU, I had too make a solution for the big ocean.

Also, I had to make all pickable objects to work with the new water system.

You will notice, the new water have no waves. Its planned to be added. I wanted to add waves, but I have a big issue, bug with it, so its coming a bit later. Also the ocean have no waves too. This because the wave „generator” needs heavy CPU perfomance. So later, when wave physics arrive to Poly Story, the ocean will have no waves. Thank you for your patience!

 

Fixies/Little additions

 

Arcade mode

-Added the new realtime water

-Little fixies (like little bugs, colliders, etc.)

-Added some more trees with the new „Bird chirps” ambient sound.

-Continued optimizing (3D objects) (for better framerate)

-Added some more ocean sounds

-Little environmental changes, like bigger rock in some places

-Added more pickable objects

 

 

 

Playground mode

-Fixed some missing respawn triggers

 

Western mode

-Continued revamping:

     -Added new buildings:

          -Barns

          -Other farm buildings

 

 

LAN mode

-Fixies (Bugged vegetation, etc.)

-Continued optimizing (3D objects) (for better framerate)

 

 

Treasure hunting mode

-Added the new realtime water

-Revamped the bay area (because of the new water):

 

     -Removed old rock assets

      -Removed some old help-assets under water

     -Fixed some sandy are which had no sand color

     -optimized lots of rock assets

      -Fixed scaling and position of lots of rock assets

-Continued revamping: added more vegetation + fixies

-Continued optimizing (for better framerate)

-Removed a texture-bugged item

-Added items which supports the new water system

-Fixed a little text-issue (help text, UI)
